Amazon

Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer and a prominent cloud services provider. The company was originally a book seller but has expanded to sell a wide variety of consumer goods and digital media as well as its own electronic devices, such as the Kindle e-book reader, Kindle Fire tablet and Fire TV, a streaming media adapter. Amazon Web Services(AWS) is a comprehensive, evolving cloud computing platform. The first AWS offerings were launched in 2006 to provide online services for websites and client-side applications. Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Simple Storage Service (S3) are the backbone of the company’s large and growing collection of Web services. Jeff Bezos incorporated the company as Cadabra in 1994 but changed the name to Amazon for the website launch in 1995. Bezos is said to have browsed a dictionary for a word beginning with “A” for the value of alphabetic placement. He selected the name Amazon because it was “exotic and different” and as a reference to his plan for the company’s size to reflect that of the Amazon River, one of the largest rivers in the world. Amazon is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The company has individual websites, software development centers, customer service centers and fulfillment centers in many locations around the world.

AliExpress & Alibaba

AliExpress Launched in 2010, AliExpress.com is an online retail service made up of mostly small Chinese businesses offering products to international online buyers. It is owned by Alibaba. It is the most visited e-commerce website in Russia and was the 10th most popular website in Brazil. It allows small businesses in China to sell to customers all over the world, and, just like Amazon, you can find just about anything there. It might be more accurate to compare AliExpress to eBay, though, as sellers are independent; it simply serves as a host for other businesses to sell to consumers. Similar to eBay, sellers on Aliexpress can be either companies or individuals. Aliexpress is different to Amazon because it acts only as an e-commerce platform and doesn’t sell products directly to consumers. It directly connects Chinese businesses with buyers. The main difference from the Chinese shopping site Taobao is that Aliexpress is aimed primarily at international buyers mostly in the United States, Russia, Brazil or Spain.[4] Alibaba is using AliExpress to expand its reach outside of Asia and challenge online giants like Amazon and eBay. AliExpress is using affiliate marketing to find new consumers.

Banggod

Banggood was founded in 2006, and at that time it was specialized in computer software research and development. It then shifted to international e-commerce services, and since then it has become an online retailer selling almost everything you may need or think of. Banggood currently has four offices in the following locations: Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Yiwu. Its headquarters are in Guangzhou, where all the magic happens and where most of the 1000+ employees live and work. The whole Banggood team is committed to providing customers with low-price and high-quality products as well as professional customer service. Banggood motto is “Best bang for your buck”, Banggood follow it by ensuring their products have exclusive deals and special promotions only for you.

Deal Extreme

DealExtreme is one of the first legitimate international B2C websites based in China. Its founder, Lingjian, Chen, comes from Hong Kong and graduated from a US university. Like many other B2C online store owners, Chen started his business from eBay and created the DealExtreme.com site after he had made great success at eBay. However, unlike those successful eBay sellers, Chen gained his success by providing international logistics service. He accumulated his first group of customers by leaving his own business information in the parcels he sent out for his clients. Besides, the talented man writes codes for the website and uses social forums as the major marketing approaches later on.
